It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Vincent Erickson on Dec. 9, 2012, at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax.
Born on July 5, 1944, he was the son of the late Harry and Ann (McCready) Erickson.
He is survived by his wife, Millie (Theriault); his son, Freeman (Shelly); his stepchildren, Linda (Bernie) LeBlanc, Lennie Fraser and Ronnie (Adel) Fraser; his grandchildren, Brandon, Michelle, Ken, Justin and Ryan; his great-granddaughter, sweet little Emily; his great-grandson, Riley (Poppy’s pride and joy); his brother, Ernie (Nora) Erickson and his sister, Nettie (Mick) Harrietha.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Cavelle (Mike) Fabian.
Vincey greatly enjoyed spending time with Ronnie. Countless hours were spent fishing, working in the garage and just visiting.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Anne Church, Alder Point with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bras d’Or.
