Patricia Ann (Fiefield) McLeod
It is with sadness we announce the death of Patricia Ann (Fiefield) McLeod on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, N.S.
Born in Stellarton, on September 2, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Ann (MacLean) Fiefield.
After graduating Stellarton High School, Patsy lived most of her adult life in Ontario and other parts of Canada returning to Stellarton to retire in the 1990s. Patsy enjoyed wintering in Florida where she loved swimming, walking on the beach and golfing.
On retirement she took great pride in caring for her plants and loved her time spent with family, especially her Thursday night gatherings for Kinsman bingo.
Patsy was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Patsy leaves to mourn nieces, Paula (David) Cassidy, Shauna (Marc) Comeau, nephews, Peter (Shanna) Hoare and A.J.Fiefield, sister-in-law, Sandra Fiefield, along with several grandnieces and nephews.
Patsy was predeceased by her husband, Don McLeod, sister, Evelyn Hoare, brother, John David Fiefield, and nephew, Sam Fiefield.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. on Friday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton, from where funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. with Archdeacon Peter Armstrong officiating.
Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery, Westville.
Donations in Patsy’s memory may be made to the Diabetic Assoc., the VON or to a charity of one’s choice.
