LIRETTE, LEDA - Leda Lirette, 86, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at her residence following a lengthy illness. Born on February 11, 1926 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Calixte and Annie (Cormier) Bastarache. Prior to her retirement, Leda was employed at Lane’s Bakeries. She also enjoyed playing bingo. She is survived by four children: Thérèse Nickerson (late Jim) of Bowmanville, Ont., Hélène Robichaud (Bob) and Alfred “Ti-Fred” (Michelle), both of Riverview, and Maurice (Diane) of Moncton; one sister, Alice Cormier of Toronto, Ont.; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred (1990), an infant, Euclide, and five brothers: François, Edgar, Léo, Euclide and Ernest.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Visitations are Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral.
