Passed peacefully away on Thursday, December 13th, 2012 in his 87th year at the Pentecostal Senior Citizen’s Home, Clarke’s Beach, very special father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle, Ralph Matthews of Musgravetown. Predeceased by his wife, Doris (Keats), November 26th, 2009. Comforted in their loss with many years of wonderful memories of his kindness, creative spirit, devotion to his wife, and unfailing good humor are his children and their families: Eugene (Donna), Courtney and Whitney; Craig (Jennifer), Andrew, Heidi, and Christopher; June (Robert); Gwen (Dennis), Lacey, Christy (Brandon) Dason and Cole. His brothers-in law: Hector (Joan); Wallace (Linda); Larry; Max; sister-in-law, Cavell (Hayward); several nephews and nieces, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Lethbridge, Newfoundland. Visitation from 2 - 9 p.m., Saturday, December 15th. Funeral service 2 p.m., Sunday, December 16th, Heritage United Church, Musgravetown. In his memory, flowers are gratefully accepted or a donation may be made to a children’s charity of one’s choice.
