NEW GLASGOW – Christine Elaine “Chris” Mills, 60, of New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Friday, December 14, 2012, in the Aberdeen Hospital New Glasgow, surrounded by her family.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Booth) Jones.
She was employed with Continuing Care, Pictou County Health Authority for more than 10 years. Chris had been employed at the Museum of Industry and had been a volunteer bookkeeper with CHAD. She enjoyed spending time with her pet cats Toby, Pocket, Cotton and Ginger, taking naps, knitting and traveling.
Surviving are her son, Gene (Heidi) Mills, Toronto; sister, Linda Kilner, New Glasgow; brothers, Wayne, Alberta and Warren (Georgina), New Glasgow; Lloyd (Elizabeth), Springhill; sister-in-law, June Jones, New Glasgow; Goddaughter, Chelsie, Springhill; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Bobby; brother-in-law, Bill Kilner.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
