Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Saturday, December 15th, 2012 Kenneth Gordon Penney Age 93. Kenneth served with the Royal Newfoundland Regiment in 1944 at Bell Island. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Mariah, son Percey, brothers Edwin (Rita), Baxter and Son-in-law Harry. Sisters; Blanche (Leslie) Morgan, Naomi (William Russell), Ivy (Chesley Hart), Ella (Ford Bridger) and Mildred (Jack Skiffington). Left to mourn, his wife Verna and daughter Phyllis. Grandchildren; Jerry (Bobbie) Normore, Kathy (Kevin) Bolger, Vincent (Stephanie) Normore, Cora(Cluney Mercer), Paul Normore and Heather Bryne. Great-grandchildren; Jason, Steven, Michael, Jessica, Ryan, Hayley, Hannah, Madison, Matthew, Aiden, and Jessica Byrne (step granddaughter). Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander on Monday, December 17th from 7:00 P.M.- 9:00 P.M. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 10:00A.M from the Fraser Road United Church. Interment was at the All Saint’s Cemetery, Gander, NL. Donations in Kenneth‘s memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements entrusted through Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander.
