FORDHAM, MURIEL G. - At the Kennebec Manor, with family at her side, Muriel G. Fordham, beloved wife of the late Douglas Fordham, passed peacefully on Friday, December 21, 2012. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alma (Taber) Smith and the last surviving member of her immediate family. Muriel was so very comfortable in the great outdoors walking or picking berries; she loved photography and her speed skates and had a ferocious appetite for reading. She is survived by her children, Bonnie and Bill Fordham; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Muriel was predeceased by her brothers, Kenny, Sam, Russell and Gordon; sisters, Reta MacKay, Jean Atkinson, and Myrtle Irene Smith in infancy; as well as her beloved grandchild, Victoria Ejama Fordham-Mbajiorgu.
Arrangements under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424). Following cremation, in lieu of flowers due to severe environmental allergies, a scent free service of remembrance will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. A reception will follow at the funeral home with private family committal in Ocean View Memorial Garden.
