Jeanette McPherson, age 73 of Sydney Road, Reserve Mines passed away on Thursday, December 27th, 2012 at the Cove Guest Home, Sydney.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Graham and Irene (MacInnis) MacDonald.
At one time Jeanette was employed at Oak Hall Clothing Store in Sydney. Jeanette was a very compassionate lady. She was always baking and giving food to people, never asking for anything in return. Jeanette loved to make people happy and baking was definitely her way to express this thoughtful act of kindness. Jeanette enjoyed doing yard work and spending time with her grandchildren.
Jeanette is survived by three daughters, Brenda at home, Allison (Cecil) Fahey, Middle Sackville, Darlene, Nunavut; two sisters, Anne Marie (Stewart) MacIntyre, Glace Bay, Cecilia MacIntosh, Dartmouth; two grandchildren, Jared, Tyler; sister-in-law, Peggy (J.F. MacNeil), Boston and several nieces and nephews.
Jeanette was predeceased by her husband, Sonny McPherson and two sisters, Irene and Debbie.
In honouring Jeanette’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral mass. A private burial will be held at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy for Jeanette, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Cove Guest Home or the Alzheimer's Association of Nova Scotia.
