At Western Hospital, Alberton, on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, of Bernice Mae Leard of Leards Pond, aged 87, beloved wife of Warren. Born Oct. 23, 1925, in O'Leary, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Hazel (Gibbs) MacDonald. Dear mother to Greg (Marlene) and Sandra (Robert) Henderson.
Loving Nanny to Wendy (Philip) Hardy; Dennis (Jessie Gallant), Chantel Henderson (Paul Noye) and Sara Henderson. Great-Nanny to Julie and Ashley. Bernice is survived by her brother Keir (Olga) MacDonald, and brothers-in-law Eldon Matthews and Ray Fitch. Predeceased by her parents, sister Myra Fitch, brother Renford MacDonald and sister-in-law Blanche Matthews. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary with private family visiting. Public funeral service in the chapel on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Interment will take place in the spring in Brae United Church Cemetery. In memory of Bernice, memorials to Brae United Church Cemetery would be appreciated.
