BROWN, MEREDITH RONALD - Meredith R. Brown of Upper Kingsclear and Southampton, NB passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB on January 5, 2013. Meredith was born at Waterville, York County, NB in 1936, a son of the late Thomas and Clara (Belyea) Brown. He was employed for several years with General Motors and moved back to New Brunswick when he retired in 1981. Meredith enjoyed his retirement which allowed him to spend time with his family. His grandchildren were an important part of his life. He loved his summer home, located on the property where he spent his childhood. Meredith was the husband of Joyce D. (Prout) Brown; the father of Judy Dore (Edwin), Nancy Dore (Jeff), Ronnie Brown and Dean Brown (Laura); the loving grandfather of Randy, Dustin, Ryan, Mason, Alex, Lindsay, Bryan and Aaron. He will be lovingly remembered by his great grandchildren, Sophie, Alex, Tyson, Tyler, Christopher, Clayton and Bella. He was the dear brother of Weldon, Harold (Joanne), Shirley Clarke, Alfreda Kailey, Marshall and Graydon Brown. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters-in-law, Marina Brown and Christina Brown and a nephew Wayne Brown.
There will be no visiting hours and the funeral will be a private family service. Interment will be later at Lenentine Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Meredith, the family has suggested the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lenentine Cemetery.
