Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 of Mr. Maurice FitzPatrick of Tracadie Cross in his 73rd year.
Beloved husband of Stella (nee Hughes) and dear father of Carolyn (Mike) Pendergast. Predeceased by his infant son, Shane. Loving grampy to Molly and Shane. Brother of Charlotte FitzPatrick, Ada MacDonald (Al dec.), Patricia FitzPatrick and Margaret FitzPatrick. Brother-in-law of Leona Peters, Mary Sullivan (Bill), Catherine Hughes, John Hughes (Vera), Noreen Hughes, Margaret FitzPatrick, Genevieve McKenna and Pat FitzPatrick. Maurice was also predeceased by his parents, William and Ada (May) FitzPatrick; his brothers, John, Billy, Kenny; sisters, Mary (Gordon) Watts, Anne (Claude) Ferlatte; brothers-in-law, Kevin Hughes, Patrick Hughes and Ernie Peters.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until 1:20 on Friday, then transferred to St. Bonaventure's Church, Tracadie, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Bonaventure's Parish Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Members of the Tracadie Lions Club will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
