The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, of Joseph Francis “Frank” Perry of Summerside and formerly of Miscouche, aged 95 years. Veteran of World War II. Frank was born on April 9, 1917, in St. Nicholas to his late parents Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Poirier) Perry. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee Poirier) Perry and loving father of Annette (Fred) Tardif of Beloeil, QC., Ken (Rose) of Pierrefond, QC., Gil of Melrose, NL., Don (Carrie), Gary and David (Mary) all of Montreal, QC. Also lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Beside his wife and parents, Frank was predeceased by his sister Winnie Steele, his brother Ira Perry and his daughter-in-law Shirley Perry. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Friday, Jan. 11, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Interment to take place at a later date in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche. Visiting hours on Thursday afternoon only, 2–6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Frank’s memory to St. John the Baptist Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #18, Miscouche, will hold a Service of Remembrance at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon at 5:45 p.m. Online condolences can be sent to epfuneral@eastlink.ca.
