Passed away suddenly but peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre with her family at her side, Bride Costello of Holyrood. Predeceased by her loving husband Benedict in 2004. Bride was the matriarch of her family and the last living child of John and Annie Kieley of Holyrood. Leaving with fond and loving memories her daughters: Geralyn and Judy (Toronto), son Jim and daughter-in-law Janet Flynn and her beloved grandchildren: Christie and Jeremy Costello. She will be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Ignatius (Iris) and sister-in-law Alice Costello as well as many loving nieces and nephews and close friends, especially life-long friends Evelyn Devereaux Hennessey and Mona Dooley. Bride left behind a strong legacy as a wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. As a teacher and principal across a 37 year career, she shaped the lives of many students and helped them find their paths to success. For the last five years Bride resided at Admiral’s Coast Retirement Centre in Kelligrews where she marvelled at the great friendships she forged in her later years and was lovingly cared for by the staff and management. There Bride enjoyed many visits from her loving family and friends. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in memory may be made to the Holy Cross Church Restoration Fund (Holyrood) or to a charity of choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Monday, January 14, 2013 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral will take place on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from Holy Cross Church, Holyrood.
