It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a dear and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother in his residence at Badger’s Quay on December 22, 2012, Llewellyn Pond age 73 years. Predeceased by his parents; Timothy and Ethel Pond and son; Jimmy. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife; Marie (nee Hunt), sons; Eugene of St. John’s, Sam (Gail) of Calgary, AB, daughter; Peggy (Garrit Stokes) of Cape Freels, brother; Jim Pond(Doris) of Badger’s Quay, sisters; Beatrice Snow of Dorval, Quebec, Mary Sergakis (Peter) of Dorval, Quebec, Josie Pond of Hamilton, ON., Linda Chaulk (Wilson) of Gander, grandchildren; Kasie Anne Stokes, Stephen James Pond, Noah James Stokes, Ethan Hunter Pond and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on December 27, 2012 at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Badger’s Quay with Rev. John Nicolle officiating. Inurnment to take place at a later date. Lew loved the outdoors, he enjoyed gardening, trouting, camping, boating and spending time with family and friends. He always had a song to sing and a joke to tell.
