SURETTE, Joseph “Joe” Melvin – 62, of Yarmouth, passed away at home on January 11, 2013. Born in Yarmouth on June 10, 1950, Joe was a son of the late Joseph and Nellie (Goodwin) Surette. He was a lobster fisherman a majority of his life. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Atwood) Surette; children, Carol (Bruce) Surette Crosby, Wanda (Lance) Surette Cottreau, Cherie (David) Surette Gosse, Melvin (Janel Crowell) Surette; siblings, Jimmy, Gary (Debbie), Wendy (Mike) Surette Muise; grandchildren, Brandon, Candice, Myers, Geordan, Ethan, Grant, Hayden, Keenan; great grandchildren, Sadie, Tegan. He was predeceased by his brothers, Alvin, Randy, Gerry. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. By request of the family there was no visitation or funeral service. Donations in Joe’s memory may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses or the Canadian Cancer Society.
