John Patrick "Jack" Young (Canadian Steamship Lines; Salesman, Airway Sanitizer and Halifax Windows in The Maritimes, J.C. Pratt, J.W. Randall and C-Brook in Corner Brook, owner and operator of John Young Ltd. in the Northern Peninsula; Canadian Scholarship Trust) passed away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Tuesday, January 15th, 2013, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis (nee Warren). Beloved friend of Annie Griffin who cared for him in his last years. Beloved son of William Joseph Palmer and Mona (nee Battcock) Young. Loving father of Laurie Marie Bradford (John Paul) of Barrie, Ontario. Loved by his grandchildren Richard, Geoffrey, Emily and Katie Bradford. Dear brother of Paul (Valda) of Corner Brook, Kathryn Theresa "Kit" (Eldon) of Maple Ridge, B.C., as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by William Sebastian "Billy" of Curling, David Michael (Sandy) of Salmon Arm, B.C., Richard Kenneth (Margo) of Stewart, B.C. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Rd. on Thursday, January 17th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Friday, January 18th at 10:30 a.m. at Country Haven Funeral Chapel, Monsignor Gale officiating.
