MacDONALD, DORIS - 1934 - 2013 - Doris MacDonald, passed away peacefully at the K.E. Spencer Memorial Home on Wednesday, January 16 at the age of 78 with her loving family at her side. Born in Glenholme, Nova Scotia on April 2nd, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Alice Mason. Doris is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Warren, daughters; Lynn Carter (Gary), Cheryl Botten (Brian), sons; Kerry (Diane), Darrell (Denise), grandchildren; Mark (Maggie), Sean, Andrew, Melanie (Mike), Candice (Doug), Catherine (Jesse), Kyle, Kristin, six great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Doris was predeceased by her sister Evelyn, brothers; Lawrence, and Hugh. The family would like to thank the Caring staff at the Spencer Memorial Home especially Deerwood Wing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the K. E Spencer Memorial Home’s Christmas Giving Tree or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, January 18 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm . Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Saturday, January 19 at 11:00am. The family has requested that no scented products be worn. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
