It is with great sadness the family of Ellen Parsons announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on the 21st day of January, 2013 at the age of 94. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters: Viola Gallant, Benoits Cove, Yvonne Jesso (Walter), Benoits Cove, Mary Jesso, Benoits Cove, Marguerite Wheeler (Jack), Tumbler Ridge, BC; sons: George Parsons (Trudy), Benoits Cove, Gerald Parsons (Beatrice), Massey Drive; daughters-in-law: Ruby Parsons and Isabel Parsons; sister-in– law Olive Barnes; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, special granddaughter Carolyn Hackett, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends; special niece Joan Hillier, special friend Nancy Dennis and caregiver Ashley Bennett. She was predeceased by her husband Henry William Parsons; sons: Ronald and Harvey Parsons; mother Catherine Sheehan Maher; sisters: Margaret Perry, Maguerite Batstone, Mary Connolly; brothers: Sandy Maher and Bill Maher; special friend Rose Collins. The funeral service will be held Friday, January 25th at 2:30 p.m. from St. Ambrose Anglican Church in John’s Beach, Reverend Nelson Chatman officiating, followed by the interment at the Church Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to St. Ambrose Church Memorial Fund.
