Lois Nora McCulloch, 79, of Union Corner, Hants County, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, surrounded by her family. Born on September 26, 1933, in Three Mile Plains, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Beatrice Dykens and was raised by Minnie Shearer of Three Mile Plains. Lois is survived by husband of 53 years, Charles Thomas McCulloch; her children, Wade (Lynn) Flynn, Windsor; Cathy (Peter) Pellegrini, Newport Corner; Darlene (Mark) Everett, Bexhill, England; Faye (Joe) Pellegrini, Union Corner; Sylvia (Mike) Jee, Newport Corner; Lonnie McCulloch, Windsor Forks; Amanda (Doug) Lake, Union Corner; 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe Dykens, Three Mile Plains; Gerald Shearer, Windsor; sister, Evelyn Swinamer, Three Mile Plains; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Lois was predeceased by sons, Randy Flynn; Charlie McCulloch; grandchildren, Cori McCulloch; Tracey Pellegrini; Geoffrey McCulloch; brothers, Malcolm Dykens and Cyril Dykens; sisters, Rita Barker, Barb Pemberton, Doris Arsenault and Mary Miller. Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor (902-798-2232). Funeral service was 2 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Garnet Parker officiated, followed by interment in the Scotch Village Century Cemetery, Highway 236, Scotch Village, Hants County. Donations in memory of Lois were requested to be made to the Scotch Village Century Cemetery.
