It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Morris announce her passing on Tuesday, January 29th, 2013 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home at the age of 100 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sisters-in-law: Rhoda Mitchell, Hilda Mitchell, Marjorie Dominey and Theodora Mitchell; nieces: Christine Mugford, Georgina Dominey, Michelle Romykh, Linda Mills, Karen Mitchell, Ruth Barkhouse, Cynthia Walsh and Edna Hynes; nephews: George Dominey, Reg Nichols and Arch Mitchell; special friends: Bruce and Deloras Hancock and Hazel Coombs and families; as well as many other relatives and friends including the residents and staff at Mountainview Estates. Predeceased by her husband, Dave, 1997 and son David, 1949; parents: Archibald and Annie Mitchell; sisters: Hannah Nichols (Norman), Laura Burton (Ralph), Sarah Ruth (Chaney) and Annie Mitchell; brothers: Joseph, William (Irene), Fred, Frank and Roland Mitchell; sister-in-law: Mary Mitchell. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 31st at 2:00 p.m. from The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street. The Very Reverend Dean Park officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot at Townsite Cemetery, Montgomery Street. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
