William Austin Ryan
May 18, 1924 – January 28, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Austin Ryan announces his passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center in Stephenville Crossing on Monday, January 28, at the age of 88 years. Born in the Codroy Valley, William was the son of the late Sandy and Lucy Ryan. He was predeceased by his brothers; Gordon, Walter, John; sisters, Jenny, Leona, Adeline. He leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories his family: devoted wife Mary of 58 years; his children, Catherine (Robert) Whalen Stephenville, NL, John (Darlene) Ryan Halifax, NS, Leona (Anthony) Chaffey Corner Brook NL, Leonard Ryan (Barbara) Halifax NS, Kevin Ryan O'Regan's; 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Pauline) Ryan O'Regan's, Alex Ryan Ontario; sister Jenny Mercer British Columbia and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. To honor William's wishes cremation has taken place and interment will follow at a later date.
