Ralph Sterling

It is with great sadness that the family of Ralph Frederick Sterling, age 80, of Amherst announce his passing on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in Oxford, NS he was a son of the late Laurie and Esther (Mitchell) Sterling.
Ralph loved playing horseshoes, listening to country music and racking blueberries.
He also enjoyed traveling with his wife in the Maritimes and Ontario to visit family.
He is survived by three sisters Dorothy Cormier of Toronto, ON, Amy (Richard) Fulton of Springhill Junction and Betty Barker of Amherst, two brothers Douglas Sterling (Audrey Legere) of Springhill and Eric (Judy) Sterling of London, ON and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ralph was predeceased by wife the Shirley, a sister Jean Aylward and two brothers Charlie and Lawrence.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 2 - 3 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. all in Campbell’s Funeral Home,(98 Church St.) Amherst, NS. (667-9906)
Captains Chad and Kathleen Ingram will officiate.
Interment will take place in the spring in the Parrsboro Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Ralph’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
