The death occurred at Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, Alta., on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, of Lorne Brendon Richards, in his 76th year.
Born in Kinkora, P.E.I., on April 30, 1934, he was the first child of the late George M. Richards and the late Alice (Peters) Richards.
He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Edna (Leo) Arsenault of Kensington, P.E.I.; Leo Richards of Wellington, P.E.I.; Douglas (Bev) Peters of Kinkora, P.E.I.; Eric (Joyce) Richards of Bedford, N.S.; and Joan (Tom) McAlpine of Grand Valley, Ont. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Georgina (Richards) Myers.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be held at St. Malachy’s Parish, Kinkora, P.E.I., at a later date. Interment will be in the parish cemetery next to his parents.
