Rita Breau
BREAU, RITA E. - Rita E. Breau, of Church Court and formerly of Sunny Brae, with loving family members at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (O’Neill) Breau. Rita was a former employee of the J. D. Creaghan Co. Ltd and attended St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church. She was a former member of the C.W.L. with over 40 years service and was a Charter Member of the Beausejour Business Ladies Curling Club. Rita will be sadly missed by nieces, Carol Lee Rowan (Paul) of Grande Digue, Nancy Burgess (Glenn), Patricia Estabrooks (Ellerd) and Anne Brooks (Frank), all of Riverview and Maureen Wilbur of Moncton; great nieces and nephews, Beth Gould (Barry) of Amherst, NS, Brenda Burgess of Moncton, Scott Burgess (Gisele) and Justin Burgess (Jessie), both of Lower Coverdale, Kerri Bourque (Stephen) and Kristina Wilbur, both of Pointe du Chene, Chris Colepaugh of Riverview, Jennifer Colepaugh (Mark) of Iqaluit, Eden Estabrooks of Lower Coverdale, Tim Brooks (Erica) of Mineville, NS, Jamie Breau (Cindy) of Hamilton, ON, Leeanne Matthews (Darrell) of Moncton, Julie Rooney (Mark) of Saint John, Lisa Embree of Halifax, NS and Jason Cornell (Kristina) of Riverview; long time friend, Miriam Reeves of Moncton; as well as 5th generation and several cousins. Rita was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Catherine Clark (late John) and Helen Colepaugh (late Frank); brothers, Rev. Paschal Breau, Frank Breau and EJ (Bud) Fogarty; nephews, John and George Colepaugh and one niece, Sue Clark Trites. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 am. Reception in the Parish Hall following the Mass. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
