Peacefully, at Souris Hospital on Thursday, January 31, 2013, of Ruth McKenzie (nee MacDonald), of St. Peter’s Bay, aged 90 years.
Beloved wife of the late Michael McKenzie. Lovingly remembered by her children: Leonard (Betty), Evelyn, Harold, Brian (Rita) and Arthur, all of St. Peter’s Bay; by her daughter-in-law, Gloria of Woodstock, Ont. Loving nanny to Terry (Tina), Michael (Sarah), Matthew, Sarah (Matt), Andrew, Tyler, Tracy, Kelly, and great-grandchildren Teagen, CJ, Aiden, Gwen, Nolan, Presley and Brody, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Michael, and her four sons, Albert, Gordon, John and Charles. She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Margaret (Maggie) MacDonald; her brothers, John (Mary), Lawrence, Hilary (Viola), Joseph (Laura); and by her sisters, Catherine (in infancy), Mary Bovine (Joe), Alice Butler (Frank), and Frances Stewart (Hugh).
Resting at North Shore Funeral Home, Morell, for visitation on Friday, February 1, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass to be held Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 1 p.m. at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, St. Peter’s Bay. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
If desired, donations may be made in Ruth’s memory, to Souris Hospital or Harbourview Training Center. Due to allergies, please refrain from wearing scents.
