Peacefully, at Beach Grove Home, on Thursday, January 31, 2013, of former RCMP S/Sgt James (Jim) Fisher Smith, of Charlottetown, age 76. Beloved husband of 50 years of Roberta (Bobbie) Lee Smith (nee Moreland).
Born on December 6, 1936, in New Glasgow, N.S. Son of the late Edward and Stella Smith of Lower Barney’s River, N.S. Loving father of Lori (Skip) Beck, Springton, PE, and Shelley (Rodney) Smith Bona of Grand Lake, N.S. Adored grandfather of Rachael (Chris) and Samantha and great-grandfather of London. Jim is survived by brother Lloyd (Joan) of Lower Barney’s River, N.S., and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Mae (Don) Forbes, Katherine (Russell) Fulton and Shirley (Gordon) Jackson.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home for visitation Sunday from 1:30-3:30 with a memorial service to follow at 4 p.m. Memorial donations to Meadow Unit of Beach Grove Home would be appreciated.
