JAMES \"JIM\" MOEN
Lieu de naissance : Saskatchewan, Canada
Lieu de décès : Colombie Britannique, Canada
November 11, 1935 - January 19, 2010
With heartfelt love and sorrow, we regret to announce the passing of our loving husband, dad and grandfather after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Jim was born November 11, 1935 in Chaplin, Saskatchewan. He married Audrey in 1955, making their first home in Prince George, BC. A love of interior weather prompted a move to Kamloops in 1974. A heavy duty mechanic by trade, he retired from Weyerhaeuser in 1998. He enjoyed many years of camping, travelling, curling, skiing and tinkering in his garage before eventually settling into golf as his all time favourite past-time.
He will be remembered for his strong spirit, his devotion to family, and the joy he felt having his grandchildren grow up around him.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted and loving wife of 54 years Audrey, their children Wendy (Roy) Connell, Daryl (Lorene) Moen, Terry (Milaine) Moen, and the grandchildren he was so proud of Sheri, Ryan, Brett, AJ, and Karyn. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Vida Lalonde and Cleona Jefcoat, his large extended family and many friends.
Our heartfelt thanks to all the staff and volunteers at Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home who took care of Dad and provided compassion and love to our family. Also a special thank you to Dr. John Reid.
Pastor Rob Cave will celebrate Jim's life on Monday, January, 25, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Kamloops Evangelical Free Church, 1132 8th Street.
Should family and friends desire, donations to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home, 72 Whiteshield Crescent S., Kamloops, BC V2E 2S9 in memory of Jim would be appreciated.
