The death occurred, surrounded by his family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, of Ernest Carr of Summerside, aged 86 years. Born in Sherbrooke, he was the son of the late Jane Carr. Survived by his wife Minnie (Champion) Carr; daughters Loweena Dean, Toronto, ON; Hazel Frost, Borden-Carleton; Winnifred (Eric) MacArthur, St. Catherines; Lynn (Allan) MacLeod, Summerside East; Karen (Sterling) Noye, St. Eleanors; sons Howard (Susan) Carr, Sackville, NB; John (Kara) Carr, Fredericton, NB; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers George Larson, John (Evelyn) Larson, Walter (Harriett) Larson, all of Massachusetts; Minnie’s children Judy (Marvin) Schurman; Debbie (Roger) Cassie; Brian Reeves (Kim Gaudet); and by her 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife Lois (Barlow) Carr; grandparents George and Josephine (Crossman) Carr; son-in-law Ray Frost; sister-in-law Jeannie Larson; and by his nephew Jody Larson. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Interment in Hillside Cemetery, Wellington. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Wellington United Church or to the Hillside Cemetery would be appreciated.
