The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, February 2, 2013, of Bernice Murphy (nee Coady), of St. Ann’s, age 86.
Bernice was the beloved wife of the late Greg Murphy and is lovingly remembered by her children, Anne Watts (Richard), Catherine Murphy, Marie McDougall (Jim), Paula Gauthier (Terry), Bernadine Gallant (Leo), Anita Edwards (George), Alexis Murphy (Brenda), Brenda Harris (Larry), Michael Murphy and Heather Doiron (Gerald); her 14 grandchildren, Karen and Krista Watts; Kaely Gauthier; Jason, Melanie and Karie Gallant; Cassandra and Devin Edwards; Jason Jackel; Shawn and Melissa Gillespie and Chad Harris; and Mitchell and Brett Doiron; and two great-grandchildren, Bobby and Emma Burns. She also leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law Ursula Coady, Kay Coady, Marion Doyle and Theresa Murphy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bernice was predeceased by her husband, Greg; her parents, Joe and Mary (Campbell) Coady; brothers, Aeneas and Joey Coady; sister, Mary ‘Mamie’ Mulligan; daughter-in-law, Terry Murphy; and brothers-in-law, John Emmett and Everett Mulligan and Leo Murphy.
Visitation will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Hope River on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. PLEASE NOTE CHANGE. Interment in St. Anne’s Cemetery. Due to severe allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products.
