Edward "Jim" Adair
ADAIR, EDWARD "JIM" - Edward Abraham Adair (Jim), 90, of the Jordan Lifecare Center and formerly Petitcodiac passed away Sunday evening February 3, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Petitcodiac, he was a son of the late Thomas and Edna (Wade) Adair. A retired employee of CNR, he ended his 45 year career as a train dispatcher in Moncton. A member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church, Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and tending his vegetable garden. Survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Evelyn (nee Geldart); his children Clayton (Susan) of Petitcodiac, Sharon Rice of Beaverbank N.S.; sisters Hannah Cain (late Stephen) of Petitcodiac, Martha Gautreau (late Lionel) of Vancouver, Dawnella Fraser (Harland) of Sussex; brothers Earl (Millie) of Lower Coverdale, Thomas (Brenda) of Gibson B.C., Gerald (Sandra) of Nauwigewauk; sister-in-aw Ruth Adair of Spencer Home and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Allison and Vaughan; sisters-in-law Lelia Adair and Karen Adair and by son-in-law Jerry Rice.
Arrangements are in care of the Salisbury Funeral Home. Respecting Jimmie's wishes, services will be private for the family. Interment will be at a later date at Maplewood Cemetery, Petitcodiac. If desired, memorials to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or Friends of the Jordan Lifecare would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca
