Passed peacefully away at Masonic Park Nursing Home, in the presence of her loving family, on Sunday, February 3, 2013, after a lengthy challenge with Alzheimers, age 75. Predeceased by her parents: William and Blanche Langdon; granddaughter Jillian Jewer; brother Stratt; and sister-in-law Joan. Leaving to mourn her daughters: Joanne Jewer (Arch), Janette Pomroy (Tony), Andrea King (Richard) and Jennifer Coates (Midge); grandchildren: Katie Jewer, Christopher, Samantha and Tony Pomroy, Amber and Mitchell King, Kennedy, Kaleb, Thomas and Grayson Cheeke; brother and sisters: Mervin, Marie and Bett; brother-in-law Paul Coates (Janice). Visitation at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Wednesday, February 6th, from 12-4 p.m. and 7-8 p.m. Memorial service to follow Wednesday, February 6th at 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
