Date de décès : 5 février 2013

It is with extremely heavy hearts that we, the family, say goodbye to a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Wanda Lee McNeil passed away on Tuesday, February 05, 2013 in the Glace Bay General Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Ann (McLean) Stubbard and George Stubbard, Reserve.
In earlier years, Wanda was a stay at home wife and mother. When her children were older, she took a position with the cleaning staff at Cape Breton University, a job she held for over 15 years.
Wanda was known for being the “Rock” of the family. It was her that family and friends went to in their time of need, knowing she could be counted on for unconditional love, support and understanding.
She enjoyed a variety of different things throughout her life. She loved tole painting and creating wedding banners. She also thoroughly enjoyed all sports including rugby and baseball but her most loved sport was watching her son Cal Jr. play hockey. She rarely missed one of his games.
Wanda had a huge heart and delighted in helping others, opening her home to numerous foster children over the years, many of whom still call her “Mom” to this day. Her unselfish nature, kindness and compassion made her much loved and she will be sadly missed by all those whose lives she touched and who had the privilege of knowing her. Their lives are far richer today because of Wanda’s presence.
