JOHNSON, Geraldine (nee Hayward) – Passed peacefully away at the Bonavista Health Care Complex on Wednesday January 20th, 2010 in the presence of family and clergy, Geraldine Johnson, age 80. Pre-deceased by her parents Harry & Ella Hayward, daughter Zeta, sister Verna, brothers Crawford, Calvin, Mackenzie and Watson, daughter-in-law Alva, and former husband Capt. Morrissey Johnson. Left to mourn are her very loving and caring family: Wayne (Marcella), Gerald (Una), Kevin (Ruby), Keith (Debbie), Jennifer, Dwight (Karen), Geraldine (Fred) Morrissette (Nash) Graham (Kim), son-in-law Wally and their families; sisters Phyllis & Zeta and brother Wayne (Pats) and their families; Clara and husband Nick; 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, extended family and numerous friends. As well as her special friends at St. Catherines Haven in Port Union.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Strathies Funeral Home, Catalina. Visitation from 2 - 5 P.M. and 7 - 9 P.M. Thursday January 21st and Friday January 22nd, 2010. Funeral Services 2:00 p.m. Saturday January 23rd, at Bethany United Church in Catalina. Interment to follow at Bethany United Church Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted. Donations in her memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
