MATTHEWS, Hazel Jane – Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger’s Quay on Saturday, January 16, 2010, Hazel Jane Matthews age 80 years. Predeceased by her parents of London, Ontario, Eric and Violet Matthews; nephew Jonathon Stokes of Cobourg, Ontario. Hazel will be sadly missed and ever loved by her brother Hayward Matthews of St. John’s; sisters Minnie Stokes (Joseph) of St. John’s and Clarice Mills (Clifford) of Valleyfield. Also left to mourn are aunts Alma Ford (William) and Joan Burry (Wilson); many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Cremation has taken place with inurnment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, London,
Ontario. Donations in her memory may be made to Bonnews Lodge, Badger’s Quay. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove - Musgrave Harbour.
