The death occurred peacefully surrounded by family at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, of Francis E. Allain of DeBlois aged 76 years. Beloved husband of Alice (nee LeClair) Allain. Francis was born in DeBlois on March 9, 1936, the son of the late Emmanuel and Evangeline (Arsenault) Allain. Cherished father to Theresa (Richard) Arsenault, Charlottetown; Robert (Jackie) Allain, Oromocto, N.B.; Pauline (Stephen) Wood, West Cape; Terrance (Holly) Allain, Moose Jaw, Sask.; and Brian Allain, DeBlois. Loving grandfather to Pamela, Cody, Larissa, Shelby, Corrine, Megan, Hannah, Tristan and Tyler. He is also survived by a brother Frederick (Stella) Allain, Thompson Road, sisters Marguerita Doucette, Long-term Care, O’Leary, Lorraine (Clayton) Boudreau, Fredericton, N.B. and a half-sister Mary Allain, Maplewood Manor, Alberton, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Emmanuel and Evangeline, brothers Joe and Gerard, sisters Rita, Dora and Sophie. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, for visiting hours Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Funeral will be held Monday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, with funeral mass at 11 a.m. Celebrant will be Rev. Jacques Rigaud. Interment will take place in the church cemetery at a later date.
