CARR, SYLVIA MARIE (GRASSE) - Sylvia Marie Carr (Grasse) widow of Devernt B Carr of Geary passed away peacefully surround by her family at the Oromocto Public Hospital on February 9, 2013. Sylvia was born on April 16, 1933 in Geary. Daughter of the late Frederick and Myrtle Grasse. Survived by children Wendell Carr (Joan), Leverne Phillips (Bernie), Sharon Carr (Wallace), Daniel Carr (Melody), Christopher Carr (Debbie), Irma Vanwart (Andy), grandchildren Jackie, Justin, Rebecca, Miranda, Brody, Conner, Hillari, great-grandchildren Jessica, Rachel and Hunter, several nieces and nephews, brother Carl Grasse, sisters Glenna Bourque, Dorothy Whalen (Eugene) and Mavis Elliott, brothers in law Al Chase and Eugene Grasse, Berlin Carr (Mabel) Fayne Carr (Ruth), Bernice O’Dell. Predeceased by brothers Lloyd and Orville Grasse and sisters Thelma Chase, Irma Grasse, sisters in law Cleta, Joyce, brothers in law Eli, Doug, Norm.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Geary United Pentecostal Church. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the Geary United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Mark Noel officiating, assisted by Rev. Bob Foster. Interment will follow in the Preston Carr Cemetery. Bishops Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
