The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I., on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, of Catherine Ann Arsenault (nee Martin), of Summerset Manor and formerly of Summerside, P.E.I., age 83 years. Catherine was born in St. Felix, P.E.I., on December 13, 1924, to her late parents, Marin and Auxulie (Buote) Martin. Beloved wife of 66 years of the late Fidele Arsenault (died May 4, 2008). Loving mother of David (Sandra), Jimmy (Norma) and Alvin (Eleanor), all of Summerside; and grandmother of Randy, Ann, Susan, Toby, Candace and Ryan. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Edna Arsenault, Andrew’s Lodge and Mary Ellen Gallant, Toronto, Ont.; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph and Edward Martin, and by her sisters, Louise Casey and Edna (infancy). Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Saturday, June 14, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery.
