Passed peacefully away on February 10th, 2012, in the presence of her loving family at the Palliative Care Unit of the Leonard A. Miller Centre, in her 72nd year. Predeceased by her father Duncan, mother Maud (Downton), brother Kirk and brother-in-law Clayton Barrett. Left with loving memories are her daughters: Robyn and Jane Murphy; sisters: Joy Barrett and Sharon Rowe (John); brother Dexter (Joy); sister-in-law Muriel, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues. She will also be sadly missed by her "babies" Fred and Jesse. A special thank you to the staff of 4NA at the Health Science Centre and the Palliative Care Unit as well as Dr. Patrick O'Shea and Community Health Nurse April Adams. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday, February 13th, 2013 from 7 pm - 9 pm and Thursday, February 14th, 2013 from 2 pm - 4 pm and 7 pm - 9 pm. Funeral Service will take place at St. James United Church on Friday, February 15th, 2013 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
