Linkletter, Hazel M. - 82, of Lower Five Islands passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Montrose, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Irene (Grant) Fletcher. Hazel loved quilting, walking and cooking for family and friends. She enjoyed attending music jams and was a faithful worker for her church. She was a steward and elder of Peniel United Church, as well as being a member of the U.C.W. She was a past honored member of the Women’s Institute of Canada. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, George Linkletter; a daughter, Judy Laing, Five Islands; daughter in law, Rosemarie (Linkletter) Black, Markdale, Ont.; sisters, Helen Collier (Roy), Bedford; Marion Rector (Joe), Onslow; Eva Wallace, Etobicoke, Ont.; a brother, Ralph Fletcher (Barb), Bible Hill; sister in law, Norma Lewis, Parrsboro; grandchildren, Allan Linkletter, London, Ont.; Lori-Ann St.-Jean, Powassan, Ont.; Joy Appleyard, Grand Valley, Ont.; Theresa Laing, Lower Five Islands; great grandchildren, Stephen, Natasha, Devon, Cole; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Keith; a sister, Inez; brothers, Lloyd, Everett. Funeral service will be held at the Peniel United Church, Five Islands at a later date.
