Cyrus LeBlanc

LeBLANC, CYRUS - 1918 - 2013 - Cyrus LeBlanc, 94, of Bouctouche Bay, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent on Tuesday, February 12th, 2013. He was married to the late Marie-Thérèse (Baÿ) LeBlanc (1991). Born in Rexton, he was the son of the late Joseph and the late Elodie (Gallant) LeBlanc. Cyrus was a veteran of WWII, and served with the 22nd Maisonneuve regiment overseas from 1939 to 1945. He will be sadly missed by his four children; Marie-Jeanne Babin (Brian) of Rexton, Maria LeBlanc (Paul-Emile) of Shediac, Jean-Paul (Jacinte) of Richiboucto and Guy (Lucille) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, a son-in-law Albert Richard and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one daughter; Rose-Marie (2006), three sisters; Emma, Amanda and Emilia, and five brothers; Ovila, Théodore, Richard, Edgar and Antoine Edmond.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Thursday, February 14th, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Friday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Friday, February 15th, 2013 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
