TAPLEY, GLENDON "GLEN" H. - Today we are sad to announce with heavy hearts the passing of Glendon “Glen” harding Tapley of Ripples, NB. Glen passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family and extended family. Born in Fredericton on August 16, 1944, he was a son of the late Clarence H. and M. Alberta (Bishop) Tapley. Glen was employed by the Province of NB for 34 years after which Glen operated his own General Contracting business up until 2010. He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. Glen was a life member of the Ripples United Pentecostal Church. Glen is survived by his loving and devoted sister, Gladys Ackerson of Ripples, NB, as well as a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special friend, Cora Hunter and her family. Aside from his parents, Glen was predeceased by sisters, Ada MacDonald and Audrey Hunter; a brother, Gordon Tapley; brothers-in-law, Rev. Paul MacDonald, Russell Hunter, Stanley Ackerson and a sister-in-law Mary Tapley.
The family will receive condolences at the Ripples United Pentecostal Church on Thursday, February 14 from 2 to 4 PM and 7to 9 PM. A celebration of Glen’s life will be held from the church on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Donald McCarty officiating assisted by Rev. Danny Swim and Rev. Ivan Young. Pallbearers for the service will be Garnet Ackerson, Wayne MacBeth, Brian Bell, Brian Sutherland, Robbie Sutherland and Jeremy MacDonald. Interment in the Ripples Community Cemetery. The family has suggested the Kidney Foundation, the Canadian Red Cross or another charity of your choice for memorial contributions.
