Passed peacefully away following a brief but courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, January 23rd, 2010 in the presence of her loving family and friends, Dorothy “Dot” Lorraine Furlong (nee Hayward), age 64 years. Predeceased by her parents Annie and Frank Hayward. Leaving to mourn her devoted husband John Furlong, son Darrell Hayward (Lori) and step-children: Cherry (Ben), Richard (Natasha), Verity and new granddaughter Willow. Left with fond and loving memories are her three special little boys: Jeffrey, Cameron, and Ethan Hayward. Also leaving to mourn her siblings: Mary Hobbs (Jim), Carol King, Clem Hayward (Linda), Con Hayward and Doug Hayward; as well as a large number of relatives and friends including her best friends: Alice McGrath and Rachael Kfir. Special thanks to Dr. Erin Powell and the Medical Oncology team for their excellent care and support. Resting at Cauls Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitations on Sunday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and on Monday, January 25th, and Tuesday, January 26th, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Mass will take place on Wednesday, January 27th, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. from Mary Queen of Peace Church, Torbay Road. Cremation to follow. Inurnment at a later date at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Dot’s memory may be made to the Dr. H.
