It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Madeline Wight on Saturday, January 23rd, 2010, surrounded by the circle of love of her family, at the age of 86 years, three days before her 87th birthday. Predeceased by her husband James 2005, sisters: Marion and Selma, brothers: Eric and Carmen. Left with cherished memories are her daughters: Jean (Wayne Moore), Heather (Brian Vardy), her son James (Barbara); Treasured grandchildren who will carry on her legacy Rea, Richard, Kyle, Kathryn, James, Grayce, Allison and Robert; great-grandchildren: Danika and Alanna; step-great-grandchildren: Amanda and Angela; her brother Chesley (Phyllis); sisters and brothers-in-law: Doris Wight, Hunter Wight (Jean), Pearl Smith, Eileen Wight and Sheila Colbert as well 12 nieces and 14 nephews and all those whose lives she enriched. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26th, 2010 from George Street United Church with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
