Margaret Hestle Costin, age 81 of Amherst passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan.
Born in Aulac NB, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Hestle (Tower) Carter.
Margaret was a wonderful and proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a special taste for Chinese food and cherished her daily drives with D&J\'s as well as her friends at Charm Diamond Jewelers at the Amherst Mall.
Her endless devotion to her family will be missed by her two children, Allan (Leona) Costin of Amherst and Joy (George) Field of Bayfield NB; sister, Verna (Don) Routledge of Jackson\'s Point; four grandchildren, Carl, Cindy, Jocelyn and Jamie Lynn; her four great grandchildren, Kailee, Chelsea, Benjamin and Nevyn; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Wilkie; brothers, Robert and Frank as well as her stepsister, Mary Maguire and three stepbrothers, Smith, William and James.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Campbell\'s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902-667-9906). A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
