
Uta Chase
CHASE, UTA LODEEN - The passing of Uta Lodeen Chase occurred February 16th, 2013 at York Care Centre, Fredericton, NB. Uta was born December 29th, 1922 in Plaster Rock, NB; the daughter of Henry and Della (McAuley) Chase. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by an infant brother, Claud. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by several cousins and many life long friends. Prior to serving as a missionary nurse in South Africa with the Reformed Baptist Alliance of Canada (Now the Wesleyan Church), she attended Provincial Normal School in Fredericton, NB, going on to teaching in several country schools. While training for missionary service, she completed nurses training becoming an R.N. She was a devoted Christ follower, missionary, ardent worker and supporter of Bethany Bible College and its purpose of training youth for Christian service.
A funeral service will be held at Journey Wesleyan Church, Duncan Lane, Fredericton, NB at 2:00 pm on February 20th, 2013; pre-service viewing will begin at 12 pm. Rev. Peter Thomas officiating with Rev. Matthew Maxwell assisting. Reception to follow. Interment will take place at a later date in Plaster Rock, NB.
