Josephine “Josie” Lee (Labrador) Moriarty
Passed away on February 12, 2013 at Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan, Maine surrounded by her family and loving husband Robert (Bob) Moriarty.
Born on April 25, 1945 Liverpool, Queens County, Nova Scotia. She was the daughter of the late Stephen Leo Labrador and Rosie Mae (McEwan).
She leaves behind her children: Stephen, Leah Oliviera and husband Frank, Charles, Elisha Keddy, Frederick, Valerie Barr and husband Richard, Robert, and Angela Snay; and her grandchildren: Joseph, Stephen, Sarah, Michelle, Justin, Olivia, Jacqueline, Damien, Victoria, and Nicholas; and her great grandchildren: Dominic and Angelina.
Besides her husband and children, she leaves behind 12 brothers and sisters: Bettie, Stephen, Bernice, Sylvia Gould, Valerie Frances, Linda Bowan, Angus, Rosalind Galligher, Christopher, Anita Paul, Gordon, Gregory, and special friends Roger and Eileen St. Amand.
She was predeceased by 5 Sisters and 3 Brothers: Lauchin, Elmer, Genevieve Francis, Daphne Joudrey, William, Margorie Latte, Diane, and Audrey Syliboy.
Josie enjoyed being with her family and loved teaching them all kinds of arts and crafts of Native American Culture.
Private services were held on February 14, 2013, with a traditional Mi’Kmaq ceremony. Celebration of life will be set at a later date in the summer of 2013.
