"Flossie" Boehner-Kennedy of Montague, in her 90th year, went to meet her dear Saviour. Dear wife of Charles Kennedy and the late Lyle Boehner. Survived by her children, Edward, John (Anne), Nona (Wayne) Rogers, Amy Baker, Paul (Heather), Michael, Ron and Chris. Lovingly remembered by ten grandchildren , and by 11 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, John Lecky; sister, Florence Harris; brothers, Wendell, Frank, Walter, Charles and James MacInnis. MacKinnon (nee Fall) of Summerside, and formerly of North River, aged 84 years. Beloved wife of the late Lawson MacKinnon, and dear mother of Jean Apostolkos of Halifax; Russell (Sandra) MacKinnon of Cornwall; Sharlene Campbell of Summerside; Blair (Darlene Taylor) MacKinnon of Cornwall; Elsie of St. Peters Bay; Lynn (Kenneth) Parker of Hazel Grove; Wayne MacKinnon of Edmonton, Alta. Predeceased by her daughter, Margaret "Peggy" Gallant; grandsons, Jeremy and Jason MacKinnon. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Marilee R., RN (nee Cooper) Of North Wiltshire, P.E.I., passed away at her residence in Halifax, N.S., on June 1, 2008. Marilee was born to LeRoy and Cresta (nee MacNevin) MacNeill on Nov. 19, 1946. Marilee graduated from Prince of Wales College, Charlottetown, and continued to pursue her career at the P.E.I. School of Nursing. Marilee continued her work as a nurse with the Canadian Forces Medical Corp (Second Lt.) and served as manager of the Dr. Templeman Cottage Hospital in Newfoundland. By age 24, she was a nursing instructor at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital in St. John's and later became the Director of Nursing for Northhaven Manor in Nfld. Marilee returned to the Island and continued to nurse and teach in P.E.I. at various long-term care facilities and educational institutions. Later, she moved to Halifax and was Director of Care at Scotia Nursing Homes. Marilee continued her education at Memorial University (B.Ed Nursing, '85), and Mount Saint Vincent (M.Ed Psych, '00). Marilee has various publications and research accredited to her, including contributions to the Framingham Heart Studies. Marilee served with the board of directors for many organizations including Halifax Peninsula Health Board, Bryony House, Boys and Girls Club, Red Cross and contributed to the Emergency Measures Act of Canada. Marilee strongly supported Amnesty International and Doctors Without Borders. Marilee was very active in church life and had a passion for music. She loved to garden and had a special affinity for animals of all kinds. Marilee was a gifted seamstress and an avid collector of depression glass. Marilee is predeceased by her parents and is survived by her daughter, Shawnda; friend, Royal Cooper; and brother, Melvin MacNeill. A memorial service will be held on June 19 at Fort Massey United Church, 5303 Tobin Street, Halifax, at 7:30 p.m. MCFADZEAN, Annie Miller Surrounded by her adoring daughter and loving granddaughters, Annie Miller McFadzean passed away peacefully at Beach Grove Home on Thursday, June 12, in her 91st year. Born in Stevenson, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Sarah Williamson. Left to treasure her memory are her daughter, Janet (Anthonie) Heusdens; granddaughters, Brenda (Ron) Honkoop, Leslie (Dave) Smith, and Jackie; grandsons, Steve (Alana) and Rob, both of B.C. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Bolton; brother, Ian (Maureen) Williamson; and great-grandchildren, Anthonie and Annie Honkoop, Hayden Smith, and Cody and Alicia; and numerous nieces and nephews as well as her stepdaughters, Linda (Bassam) and Ann. She was predeceased by her two loves, George Healey and Robert McFadzean; her daughter, Anne; brother, Jimmy; brother-in-law, Willie Bolton; and sister-in-law, Jean Williamson. By personal request, there will be no visitation. Cremation and a private family burial service will follow. We, her family, would like to express our deepest gratitude to the truly wonderful staff of Meadow Unit at Beach Grove Home for all the love and care Annie received while a resident there.
