It is with great sadness that the family of the late Daisy Joan Murphy announce her passing on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 81 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Shirley; sons: Jimmy (Gwen) and Doug (Elizabeth); sisters: Annie, Ruby, Mary, Stella, Olive (Terry) and Joslyn (Gary); brothers: Jim (Marilyn) and Roland (Norma); grandchildren: Glen, Glyness, Jamie, Stephanie, Zonya, Melanie, Nancy and Crystal; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John, parents Walter and Ethel Hunt, brother Walter and sister Shirley. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Intensive Care Unit and the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Friends may visit St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Summerside on Tuesday and Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 21 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Malcolm Palmer officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Summerside. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
