
Jean Alward
ALWARD, JEAN - Jean Elizabeth Alward, 86, a lifelong resident of Havelock passed away Monday February 18, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Havelock she was a daughter of the late Spurgeon and Addie (Alward) Keith. In her early working years Jean worked at the Post Office in Havelock and then for the Bank of Nova Scotia where she retired after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Havelock Baptist Church and the Gloria Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survived and sadly missed by her beloved husband of 65 years Delbert; her daughter Delberta Flood (John) of Fredericton and their children Elizabeth of Fredericton and Ellen of Toronto; her son Nelson (Monica) of Saint John and their children Ryan of Fredericton and Sarah of Red Deer A.B.; her sister Zena Colwell (Fred) of Moncton; brother Norman Keith (Joan) of Hampton; sister in law Norma Keith of Saint John and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers George and Harold Keith.
At Jean's request, a private family funeral will be held from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel (372-4800) with Pastor Jarvis Lepper officiating. Interment at a later date will be at Greenhill Cemetery, Havelock. If desired, memorials to the Havelock Baptist Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca
