Corkum, Lawrence Aubrey, 78 of New Minas, Kings Co. passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Waterville, he was the son of the late Aubrey & Nettie (Rogers) Corkum. Lawrence drove a truck for Farmers Dairy Ltd. most of his working life. He is survived by companion, Kathleen Rand; daughter, Donna (Malcolm) Spencer, Waterville; sons, Larry (Jean) & Roger (Linda), all of Berwick; grandchildren, Stacey, Laurie, Cory, Stephen & Marissa Corkum; great granddaughter, Olivia & great grandson, Keegan; brother, Judson (June), Aylesford. Lawrence was predeceased by sisters, Martha, Eveline, Edna, Elsie, Crystal, Eleanor, Marilyn & Thelma. Visitation was held from 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15 in the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook (Exit 14). Funeral service was held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 from the Berwick Baptist Church, Berwick. Rev. Marilyn Rose officiating. Interment will take place in the Arlington Cemetery in the spring.
